I just went through the whole financial consolidation bit, moving my money from banks in Maryland to other places and new accounts, but all my money is frozen in time until June 2nd, after which I can start using my new accounts. This leaves me with *almost* enough money for rent on the 1st. Beyond that, I got nothin'. Pocket change, maybe. :)
I know this whole bullshit merry-go-round is a hassle for getting your Visa, but you will always cherish this trip to China, I guarantee it. You'd better post lots of pictures and plenty of musings, so that us less-fortunate underlings may live through your travels vicariously.

Speaking as someone who took to the 9-5 grind as a breather after Marlboro, you'll be really glad you went to all this hastle to do something big after college.

On another note, I saw this at the MassArt animation graduates show a while ago, and the style and subject matter reminded me of your art. http://www.anchai.com/index.php?page=4d

Oh, that's right, I'm going to start blogging over on my site, www.rah-kun.net, as soon as I've updated the whole thing. I'm hoping for a combined sketchblog/travelogue for while I'm abroad. One of the things I'm worried about, actually, is keeping my LJ reader-base tuned into my new not-LJ blog.

RSS feeds, yay! You could do it through twitter -- update your twitter with a link to each new entry, and set up a service to update your LJ with your daily twitterings -- but RSS would be cleaner and easier.

Also, it was really great to get to see you and talk with you again. I'm looking forward to hearing all about everything. And I really wish I had more helpful advice, but obviously I'm clueless about this complicated travel stuff -- I wish I could help, though!
